1) This
shot shows the new Tube shock Hoops for Hilux, the Hoops will give you 7 inches
of increased height over a standard shock mount.

2) First
remove the wheel from the truck, it would be a good idea to give the area
your working on a good clean with a gerni if possible.

3)
Next remove your standard shock from the tower and diff. At this stage you
can also disconect the battery.

4)
This part can be a little tricky as you are working close to the brake lines,
a good fire blanket or thick rubber can be used to prevent damage to the brake
lines while oxying or disk cutting the old tower off the chassis rail.

5)
Grind and clean the chassis rail face and top edge of the rail for a clean
surface when welding on the new shock hoops you.

6)
Trial fit the Shock Hoop on the chassis before welding, mark where you best
think it needs to be. The hoops have been designed to give maximum room for
those of you that have your diff pushed forward.

7)
Next is to fit the back braces, these come off the back of the hoop down to
the top of the chassis rail.

8)
Clean any area's that were ground down and paint all bare metal.fit up your
shocks and the 2 plastic end caps and you are done.
This set up on a Hilux with standard suspension will allow you to run the longest Rancho shocks (RS9012 or RS5012) that boast 14 inchs of travel. With the standard Hilux suspension this modifications allows for 4 inches of up travel and nearly 10 inches of down travel !.
